Some time ago got and installed a couple of new rubber strap thingees on the rear end of Miss Agatha.

Noted yesterday that one had split straight across where it is bolted on. Now you know that she has not even been on the road. Sigh

Guess I need to order another.

The orginal ones had material in them like a tire, the new ones seem to be all rubber.
 
Do you still have the originals?
 
sounds like you mean the check straps on the pumpkin. the ones i removed also had reinforcements and the new ones are rubber. not good to hear they split. perhaps i will seek out some originals. they pop up once in awhile.
