I'll admit having a lot of envy of the large variety of special and exotic cars the folks who live in southern California and other large American cities get to see, but we do have a glimmer of hope up here in hinterland yet...
There is one local collector who is rather prolific with a collection of about 80 cars, all of them special in one way or another, and he seems to make it to almost every cruise night at a local casino, tonight?
The one and only 1937 Kurtis Tommy Lee Special, a well known custom car built in 1937, along with a DeTomaso Mangusta
Two weeks ago? It was a 1954 Kurtis 500KKS1 roadster and right behind it a 1972 Mazda Cosmo, a recent acquisition of his from Japan
Earlier in the summer? Why it was a late-1960's Bizzarrinni coupe along with a Lamborghini 350GT
Etc...
I have full photographic evidence which I don't have time to chase down right now, alright one photo of the 1954 Kurtis...
And also tonight, a rather humble 1957 Humber Hawk, not Fred's car, rather mundane but when was the last time you saw one (as mostly Super Snipes were sold over here), I recognized it immediately as I spied it a few cars down driving into cruise night in between some modern tuner cars... Had a nice chat with the owner, it's for sale, but alas I'm not in the market for a classic car right now...
