The other day I was using my electric hedge trimming and got too close to the wire...you guessed it, I cut the wire in half. That is not the good part. I went to the hardware store and got a new, quality end, took great pains to wire it on the heavy duty extension cord that I had cut...and you guessed it, I wired on a male end. Went to plug it in and realized the other end looked exactly like it. Dummy
 
It warms my heart to hear someone other than myself do a stupid thing. Not going to admit to all my stupid moments but at least now I know I'm 'normal.'

I'm just concerned with both of these stories that you are undermining traditional extension cords and hoses respectively.

Kind of a "push me, Pull me"...Sort of
 
My ex-boss (at work

) decided to remove a door from its hinges because the bottom was dragging on the floor.
He takes it off, and proceeds to plane the edge; then re-installs it and the darn thing still was hitting the floor.
He takes it back off and removes some more. It still drags.
After the third time he realizes he is planeing the TOP of the door.... I tried to keep my mouth shut but just couldn't :whistle:

I think I may write a book of all the stupid things I've done in my life. At some point they were laughable but sometime they were down right painful. I'm not talking about Darwin Award type stuff, just things like pulling a door to open it, that is clearly marked push, or forgetting your wife's name. Come to think of it, writing a book is another dumb thing I could do.

Had I plugged the cord in whilst holding the other end, I <span style="text-decoration: underline">would</span> have been in the run for the Darwin Award.... :eeek:
