This is a really cool video clip in AutoBlog of the Bathurst 1000 finish. This is an incredible race in AU or NZ featuring Production Supercars. Shows a Bentley Continental Leading to start but things change at the end. Clip is 5 minutes watch full screen on a monitor if possible. And this racing is after these guys have gone a full 600 miles. Talk about close racing on a Road Course not NASCAR. This track has more than 600 ft of elevation changes IIRC and a straight more than 2 miles long.

Hey Jim,

Bathurst is in my home state of New South Wales, about 3 hours West of Sydney. Every year in October they have the 1000km event for Australian SuperV8 Touring cars. These are the GT3 cars so another event, same Mt. Panorama circuit which is actually public roads. Great races.

Wouldn't it be great to drive a bugeye around that track !

Cheers
Lew

Lew,

IF the rest of the race is anything like the last 5 minutes wow what an event.

Great racing! That announcer adds a lot to it too!

Don't forget that those "Bentleys" share most of their parts with those racing Audis.
