One of my favourite museums. One day I hope to volunteer there - it's just a tad far away right now. Does trolleys. streetcars, subways etc. etc. Was preaching in the next town the other week and passed it. These are just in the entrance way. The buses are all electric and hopefully will be restored one day.

Love old trains.
My Dad worked for CN in Toronto and earlier, he worked at London Transit when we were in England.

We have the Whippany Railway Museum near us and I often stop in just to look at the rolling stock. It's a neat place.

My Dad was always fascinated by trains because a narrow-gauge railway ran past the McCabe family farm he grew up at in Cavan, Ireland.

After we moved to New Jersey we discovered that the old Cavan trains had been relocated to Allaire State Park here in New Jersey! We've ridden on them a number of times!

JP - you need to make a trip to Connecticut.

The Connecticut Trolley Museum

Very cool! There's also one in Baltimore that I know of but have never attended. Here is the promo video for this one.

Glad to hear it! Here's a link to some photos I took of last week's Agricultural Fair:

Come to think of it ... maybe I should see if the ol' TR can make it to Ontario.

Cool! Though I have to say I'd still rather be sitting in the trolley than walking behind the plow. BTW, I used to volunteer at Westfield Village, which was a bit different as it wasn't located in just one era - depending where you were, it spanned about a century.

That is so cool! My favorite place would have to be the Strasburg Railroad out near Lancaster PA. Steam has a way of talking to you.

JP, is that the Halton museum? I remember going there once when I lived in Ontario, great place...

Here in Calgary our heritage village - called Heritage Park ironically

- owns two medium size steam trains, and has a short track they run around the park with servicing four train stations... Speaking of which I just missed the train days this past weekend :hammer: simply too busy doing other things!

Anyway, my photo from a few years ago, both the steam engines here, only pulling four rail cars just to demonstrate... The rest of the year it's only one engine at a time...
