And I saw THIS ONE too. No picture though. I assume it's a Herald Estate. There was also a pricey ($12000) Vitesse for sale down there somewhere.

It's probably a Triumph 10, as the only four-door Heralds that ever existed in production (sedan or wagon) were built in India by STAMPRO, a subsidiary of Standard-Triumph.

As we all know, it's easy to spend at least that to restore one; whether it's worth that as an asking price, I couldn't say without seeing it....

Ah...I guess I was going by the date. I didn't know the Triumph 10 was made as late as 1962.

An honest mistake. The Triumph 10 wagon was the last of that line to be built. The sedans had ceased production by the time the Herald was introduced in England in spring 1959, but the wagons, vans and pickups continued for awhile. In fact, Triumph 10 wagons were still pricelisted in US factory literature as late as the end of 1960. It's entirely possible for some to have lingered long enough on dealer lots to have been titled as 1962 models by the time they were first sold!
