Just lovely weather this Christmas. Not a hurricane to speak of this year, then this hits. Two F2 tornados hit the area, one devastated a huge flight school/university in Daytona. They're saying 50 of 60-65 airplanes are destroyed. Their administration building will probably be condemned due to damage, a huge hangar was destroyed, etc. An apartment complex just east of the airport was also destroyed (most of the tenants are students).
Typical tornado stuff, airplanes a couple of hundred feet away are fine. Just across the runway to the west (from where the storm came) is the airport terminal, shops, ticket counters, etc. Untouched.
10 miles to the west another tornado hit, destroying 50-100 mobile and manufactured homes in 4 different developments.

(the school/airport video is near the end, it's worth waiting for).
