not a Triumph

Yes i did and i almost mentioned it then.I never heard a track go so quiet as after they announced that.
 
The last time I went to the Ledges, my dad and I did some laps in my TR3. Slow ones, as I was running the original wires wheels and no a spare.
This was in '93, and the track was in disrepair. They had painted around the potholes in the carousel with flourescent spray bombs. It was a little bit of a disappointment after watching races for so many years as a kid and wondering what it looked like back there.
Fortunately, I understand they have since done a good bit of work to the track.
I'm sure I watched you guys many times. My first race was Cumberland Steel Cities in '70, and we went to the Ledges on into the '80's.
I still remember watching a bathtub Porsche dropping a wheel into the dirt and barrel rolling/end over ending off the back straight. Terrible thing to watch. Fortunately, the driver wasn't hurt too badly.
