Not a Triumph, but pretty freak'n cool

I loved the front disk brakes, the chopped and channeled look, small block Chevy and then I saw the automatic transmission...........

No - Jensen CV8. A plastic Interceptor /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Don,

Would that be Aston Martin or American Motors?

Bet it goes like a bat outta heck, but a bit pug nosy to me.

It kinda looks like they stole the headlamps from a Citroen and the front bumper from a 1953 Nash.

Those were the first to things to hit my eyes. Other than that, it's got a nice low wide look about it. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone's tastes with the comparison.

Ran into the auto body instructor from the local Vo-Tech at a local car show.
He had one of these "Rat Rod" pick up tricks..er...trucks.
It was lumpy, bumpy, rusty. The cylinder head of the Chevy V8 rubbed the firewall. The engine as well as the body looked as though it had been painted with a brush.
I suggested that he obviously had a lot of work to do on this machine. He looked at me and said " No. It's done. Just the way it is.

Dudes. This is all about funk and freedom.

Keep on.

Tosh,

I was talking about the silver Jensen picture in alana's post, not the trick, I mean truck....

I remember when in my highschool years Fred Grimes & i took ALL the money we had poured in into a 32 Ford 3-window coupe, finished the body in gray primer BUT it only had a Ford V860 engine in nice shape we only took it out between 2 & 4 in the morning after which we HIGHTAILED it back to the cow barn. After we graduated we just left it sit & rust away.,probably went to the crusher WHAT A SHAME!
Ken&Whitelightning.....What fun we had.

I bet the truck does draw lots of attention when you drive up at the local Saturday night car show. It would be much less in price if it did not have the 50's retro bucket seats.

Looks like a hole in the road to throw money into, don't you think?

How is that different than our chosen modes of recreational transport? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Heh, heh.

Difference? difference you say? our 'holes in the road' are shiny.

HaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaa.

Hey Tosh,

I see that you're located near my old hometown of Johnstown. Is that drag strip still open in New Alexandria?

I'd like to be there when he explains that "it really is a '34 Chevy" when people are looking at the 28/29 FORD radiator shell with a FORD emblem on it. Might be more truthful just to call it a POP (Pile O Parts).
Bruce (I actually have a REAL '34 Ford)
