Not a Spridget - '70 BGT - link to pics!

I found a 1970 split bumper MGB-GT in Seattle Craigs yesterday. I sent off emails immediately.

The PO called today so I went & saw it.

He has owned several other MG's including an MGC Roadster, we had a lot to talk about. The engine compartment on this baby is sweet!

Pictures to follow actually getting it home!

Instead of posting all the pics twice:
Link to pics post over in MG forum

The listing has already been pulled, Rick.
Looking forward to some pictures.

It's good to take a screenshot for just such emergencies...

Are you gonna restore it, or use it as a donor for the C?

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

The drivetrain seems so good it would be a shame to turn it into a donor. Came with a lot of good parts too.

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

That car looks vaguely familiar......
Great taste Rick!
If I'd have known you were looking for '70 GT, I'd have traded mine & the midget for your C!

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

Great price.

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

Thanks, yes I'm very happy with the deal and the car and the previous owner. I have a folder full of paperwork from the past 30+ years, a load of great parts (pictures hopefully tomorrow) and the car runs pretty dog gone good!
Off to get new tires tomorrow, registration & title and all that. Fun!
I'm going to have to get hooked up with a carpet kit & some seat covers pdq!

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

Time to update that siggy Rick!

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

Bet Tony does carpet kits and seats. hehe.

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

Yes, I'll bet Tony does.
I'll check with a local British car place first, avoid shipping where possible. This is going to be great fun!
It's rainy but I'll get the camera out & take some pics today anyway.

Let me know if you have any leftovers.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/troll.gif

Re: Not a Spridget - but I had to share - '70 BGT

He boxed up all his MGB and MGC stuff and gave it all to me.
After he sold his C he had some parts left over, it's going to be way too much fun going through those boxes!!
