Today was wifes birthday (66) and her recovery day from surgey as well.

So only took engine front plate, motor mount down to bare metal and primed and removed emergency brake from car. But hay, that's progress, not much but progress.

Think back plate and valve side covers next. Nasty these things are, one of my Doctors gave me a box of medical gloves, great for this nasty engine cleaning stuff.

Seems Moss wants a million dollars for fuel pump kits, anyone have a cheeper way. Not much to them, someone somewhere is makeing a real killing. I seem to remember back in the day paying 8 bucks for a pump kit, sigh.

Jack - remember to check distributor prices...

Moss is showing 123.99 for an orginal 948cc fuel pump rebuild kit #377-395 and 68.95 for a complete fuel pump #377-390.

Both seem to be the pump to prime type.

Someone else where must do fuel pump kits, oh of course eBay, hehe.

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.....................

Oh I know Tony, was just showing compairison and the sillyness of it.

Note to all, buy parts from Tony.

Actually, I've asked them why the rebuild kits are more expensive than the pumps themselves...

The new pumps must not be "original"... Made in china?

Prob. Kenny

And what did they say Tony?

They also can't explain it further than "domestic vendor versus international vendor"

Ain't that a crock. Well, glad I will prob only ever need to buy one.
