Not a fair face off: Tesla vs Ford

I'll buy an electric car as my main vehicle when they can go 500 miles or more between charges in the winter with heated seats and heater on. For now, they're strictly intown vehicles, plus my garage has 2 cars in it already and an electric car or hybrid would have to be charged with a long extension cord outside the garage.

Don't forget, sit out in a parking lot a work all day in zero degree weather without having a charger available, since batteries tend not to react well to cold. Read a review once of one they took to NY to test in winter. With the heater running and the cold the 100+ mile range went down to 10 before requiring a charge.

I'd rather have a steam powered pick-up.
