TR4/4A NOS TR4A cyllinder head

I have an NOS cylinder head that I'm getting ready to list for sale and wonder if it would be better if I have hardened exhaust seats installed or leave it as it is. This is genuine Stanpart in the (shelf worn, tattered) box p/n 511695 still in protective coating so I'd hate to molest it in any way.

Thoughts?

Pretty valuable piece. I'd leave it to the buyer; that way if any problems arise from the conversion it's not your responsibility.

There's a dilemma for you. Is the NOS tag or the hardened seats more valuable? Can't have both. I think I'd I'd leave it in the box. Tom

I would say definitely leave it as is. Not everyone installs the hardened seats. The buyer can decide what to do with it and you avoid costs you may not get back.

It's only "original" until you change it...

Thanks guys. I'll sell it true NOS and leave the seats alone. Good advise.
