I've got a few boxes of NOS radiator/etc. hoses,
but not sure how old they are.Any idea on how long they're
good for?
I was thinking of giving them away to people with the
matching cars,for emergency spares.
Your thoughts?
I must confess Doug I am frightened of NOS rubber of any kind - I figure 30-50 year old rubber is past its best before date - so, giving them away is probably the nicest thing you can do with them.
I concur. Rubber has a shelf life. Unless someone is doing a 100 point concourse car that will never really be driven, I would not use NOS rubber parts. Especially major hoses and tires. Give them away, but make sure the recipients are aware of their age. otherwise, pitch 'em.
