Makes me a little suspicious, but you never know. I remember a NOS early MGB block, still in the crate and paper that had a lot of obvious things that screamed refurbished.

I remember that same MGB block....wasn't that auction stopped?

I don't recall. But there was a lot of discussion on it on various boards. I seem to remember the UK guys pointing out the real flaws.

He did say that the only "NOS" parts were block, rods, pistons & crank.

The 1622 was used in a variety of cars...(not the MGB)
1961-1962 MGA Mark II
1961-1967 Austin 152 & Morris J2 1/2 ton van
1961-? Elva Courier
1961-? TVR Grantura/Vixin
1974-1978 Sherpa van /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
1961-1971 Morris Oxford /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
1961-1963 Morris Major Elite
(I have been told that not all of them were painted maroon from the factory)
