Norwegian War Ship

Had to be the most embarrassing launch ever! I believe all of Stockholm was out to watch as the over-weighted gun-boat rolled.
Still, it's a mighty neat thing to see in the museum (oozing glycol preservative). A spectacular specimen from the mud.

No wonder the Mary Rose went down, it's missing a side.

The Brits were so much better trained it seems that other European navies, that missing side was their officially sanctioned handicap when fighting...

Well, the Dutch Navy back in those times were no slouch either, they sank my grandfather, Admiral John Jennings,10 times removed or so, ship in the English channel and he went down with it! :dispirited: Top it off, I married a Dutch girl :highly_amused:

Paul, I'm pretty sure there is a Julia Roberts movie about that topic.
