Here in central PA we are expecting 10-15 inches of the white stuff.
Note to doc- turn your eyes away so you don't feel any pain
How are the rest of you doing?

Elliot - when were you on my deck???

Here's the local forecast. On top of the 8" we still have, another 10" expected, followed by freezing rain later this afternoon, then snow tonight, then freezing rain early tomorrow. Might get up to 40 tomorrow - before tomorrow evening's new snow, leading into Saturday's snow. DOT trucks are out in force again.

Wonderful weather - if you're an arctic otter.

Finally gonna get to the 70's by midweek here!

I'm really glad it's not snowing that bad here. There is an accident not too far from here that would be first responder **** if it was coming down that much.

Seems like it has slowed down and changing to rain around here in Bucks Cty PA.

That'll happen here late this afternoon as the temp goes above freezing. Then the temp drops, the 10 inches of slush turns to frozen concrete, and then we get more snow tonight!

Wish I'd bought more blasting caps so I can clear snow off the gravel driveway tomorrow.

We have about 8" in my backyard ( and front yard, too) and still coming down. This in NOT normal in Charlotte.
Just waiting for the power to fail. Kerosine heaters loaded and ready, generator ready. Hope I don't need them.

We're similar to PA and Conn here. Expecting about 10" to 12" of snow today.

Snowing heavy right now. My backyard already has about 8" of previous snow with a frozen layer of ice over it. I walked on top of it yesterday without breaking through.

I'll be heading out with the snowblower in a little while to knock off the existing snow from the driveway and walkways (about 8" so far, I'd say). I want to get as much off as possible before it refreezes tonight and becomes a frozen mess.

Nial - question for you. We're having heavy snow and gusty winds, so being outside isn't exactly fun.

Are you doing your snow blowing despite the continuing snow and wind?

Thanks.
Tom

Figured I might as well give it a try; only took about a 90 minutes for the 300 foot driveway and parking area. Drifts about 4 feet now, but driveway only about 1.5 feet deep. Maddening 30 mph wind, blows it right back in your face. Fortunately the 5hp MTD kept up with it.

Now keeping my fingers crossed that tonight's snow and ice won't make today's work useless. Think I need a Saint Nicholas (hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps).

I did my driveway twice and cleaned off your deck Tom.

Tom-
TIP
Don't throw it INTO a 30 MPH wind

Don - I learned that back when I first cleaned up cattle yards.

I sprayed an old can of flocking on my driveway so I could empathize with you all. I was in shorts and a tee-shirt when I swept it up. June weather here, except it'sunnier.

Greg when we are all selling you small bottles of water for $50.
Then we'll feel sorry for you!! :angel2:

Why you little.....
