Dave Winters from beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO.
I have a 65 Morris Minor Traveller, just imported from the U.K.
I'm just beginning the restoration, so I'll be popping in from time to time to get and to share advise, tips, etc.

Which nut or bolt are you going to restore? Cause, She surely does`nt look like she needs "Anything"!!!

Wow- thanks, guys! Maybe restoration was the wrong word.

The car is what I call a 10-footer. Paint and chrome all need help. Engine is a 1275 A series, SU HIF-44 carb. A strong runner, but very dirty. In fact the whole engine bay is quite a mess.

Interior- carpets are completely shot. Original headliner is in good shape, but very dirty, possibly cigarette smoke stained. Rear cargo bay is in very rough shape. I'll be tearing that out and replacing with wood.

As a woodworker, I'm excited about replacing and adding a lot of components in wood.

Brakes have been updated at sometime to front discs with servo, but at that time 13" wheels were put on, which look a little small. I'm considering going to 14" Superlites as funds allow....

So, thanks for the kind words but "Ernie" needs a little help.

Allow me to add my welcome. What a great-looking little car! My grandfather had two of 'em, both Travellers, and they are the most wonderful, character-laden little cars that you could ever hope to drive.

Please keep us informed as to your progress, especially the woodworking side of things, and piccys are always appreciated! Congratulations on your find.

Just remember one thing, It can only be original once. Be careful what you start as it can lead to other things ad infinitum.
