Nokia 900 smart phone

I decided to enter the realm of smart phone users by going out and buying one of those new Nokia/Microsoft Windows-based cell phones. (The sales gal commented that she had never seen someone go so long before exercising their upgrade option. So what if the rotory dial on my old phone was a little wobbly.)

Anyway, the Nokia 900 lasted all of two (2) days with me. It had so many software glitches that it was unreal. Microsoft and Nokia were in too much of a rush to get it on the market. Returned it and am back with my old trusty Motorola.

Smart phone? what's a smart phone?

(For me, a smart phone is a phone that doesn't ring when telemarketers call!)

Hello? Operator?! Opreator?! Oh, Is that you Maude? How's every little thing?

"Operator....Oh, could you help me place this call? See, the number on the matchbook is old and faded....."

Today's generation.....what's an operator? what's a matchbook?

I have the iPhone 3GS. I'm holding off upgrading to iPhone 4S because my contract is up and I'd have to sign up for another 2-year contract if I upgrade. I love my iPhone. I've had it for 3 years and so far no issues. I like that I can sync it with my iMac and MacBook computers so that all my pictures, music, email, contacts, etc., are always "in sync". A change on one device is reflected in all devices (I can control what gets sync'd and what doesn't). It doesn't do everything the 4S does (like no "SIRI") but it does enough. I can even use it as a remote control for TV/ Stereo.

There is a story about an LA DJ and that song...

Got a new phone a month ago - Motorola Razr. the week before last I sent a text, set it down and it just died. Took it in, they had to send it away, gave me a Nokia as a loaner. (looks like a Blackberry) It does everything but without a word of a lie it took me a week to learn how to use it to make a phones call. Oh and as cool as it is, I can only program the Razr while my daughter is home - and I still can't retrieve voice mail. it does have a very cool voice activated GPS though.
