Noise from the engine compartment

Since I had time now to disassemble the front portion of my engine, I found out that the noise that was bothering me was caused exactly by the part I thought it would come from. It was the tensioner and especially the rubber part that is glued to a metal plate that sits on top of the piston of the tensioner. It fell off from the piston and lay on the bottom of the chain cover. Thus the chain was running over the metal plate where the rubber block used to sit and created this high frequency noise.

So far I haven't had a chance to run the engine, however I'm pretty much sure the noise will be gone.

Thanks a lot for help and support.

Here is a picture of the tensioner plate (right side of pic) where usually the rubber part (left side of pic) is glued to. I hope you can see the scratches and grooves of the tensioner plate that were caused by the timing chain sliding over the metal plate instead over the rubber part which had fallen off.
