Got granddaughters car registered, replaced wipers, changed oil. That took care of my day.

But tomorrows sat, no duties I think so maybe I can get back on engine.

No worries Jack, it will be waiting there for you.

Mine has waited patiently on many ocassions.

You didn't have her help change the wipers & oil, Jack?

Oh, I made sure she watched while I changed the wipers and we both watched while the oil guy did his thing. He used to have one so he knew just how to go about it.

Must read the book on the transmission, no dip stick, no filler, and it is automatic, strange.

E36 318i? I'm not sure about those. Mine's of the E30 vintage (older 3'er). The auto trans has a dipstick on that one. Maybe they eliminated it on the newer ones.

Jack:

This is done by the use of a pump.

Always had to pay the dealer to do this job.

Ahh, thank you sir. Just put on new BMW inserts, that was easy. Have glove box door latch ordered along with antana grormet. Now about the key lock in the glove box any clue how you remove the cylinder?
