No more Saab

Just heard no more Saab. Sad state of affairs for cars these days.

I've had two, only recently got the second one. Really like it, especially with the wide torque band that always puts a smile on.

My older daughter has a 5-speed 9-<span style="font-size: 8pt">3</span>. Nice car.

Just found about a camera connection here, that Sixten Sason (early Saab designer) also developed the Hasselblad camera, interesting... Just goes to show how versatile people used to be

Yeah. It was one thing to see the "Saabaru" model(s), but I think they lost it when they jumped on the SUV bandwagon with the "SaaBlazer"! Chalk up another one for General Motors.

The Saab Sonnet V4 was a heckuva nice sports car. Google it, really interesting car. Very small, about the size of a GT6 or Spit if I recall correctly.

Pretty quick, too.

Plymouth; Oldsmobile; Saab, etc., etc. Kinda sad to see such great cars, with great histories, go.

I had previously posted that the Triumph Slant 4 engine was used in Saabs to replace the V4 and it still has some links to the 260BHP engine that it is used today.

A few Saab 99s were also built with the Triumph V8 engine.
