My better half and I have come to an agreement on me dragging home "The Sitter" as Gerald nicknamed it. I had it all arranged for the owner to deliver to my driveway about 45 minutes away from his house. Wife insisted I need to go down there and get underneath to verify if this BE is not all rusted underneath and can be salvaged. I am meeting with nephew of the guy who originally bought this car some 40 years ago and will be working with him to obtain a Bill of Sale and he has promised to help me out in getting a title from the actual owner who no resides someplace in Colorado. OK this is getting more towards being a legal transfer from one owner to another. I have learned as is thought that although this BE has been stored inside a nice hangar for the past 15 years, prior to that it it was in a barn over a dirt floor. The BE had sunk to its floorpan in mud and needed to be dug out of the mud in order to move to it's present storage space. Last titled in 1978. It broke and got put into storage. It is all original and unmolested on the interior. I will be able to reuse seats, full dash with all instrumentation and switches, steering wheel, lights, lamps and lenses, cockpit surround, top bows. Oh yeah and most important I believe the bonnet is fixable. Lots of surface rust from the bottom up and it needs rear quarter patch panel on both sides. I truly believe I can make this bonnet work on Bugsy II much easier than the one I've got already. I'll post some pics and get opinion from others. I'm supposed to meet at 8:30 Saturday morning to close this deal. Will drag home about 2 weeks later.
