Come on Don... the difference is $29

well I got the valve in yesterday and installed it in about 10 minutes, cranked up the car and works great, a lot easier to open and close too

It's so simple......for $30 more you get the non-bypass valve versus the less expensive not non-bypass valve. Says so right on their site.............. now that we know why there's a price difference does anyone understand the difference or the function? :driving:

It's my belief that the listing is simply in error. A "bypass" valve has a third port that allows coolant flow when the heater is shut off. It's typically connected to the return line on the other side of the heater core. Thus the valve "bypasses" the heater when no heat is desired, without partially blocking the flow through the cylinder head.

If the more expensive valve were really different, it would have a different part number at Factory Air. But I checked, they only have one listing.

If I'm correct. The A/C version of the 8 has the style Randall talks about albeit it is behind the dash I think
