This sucks. No heat in my house this morning. Figured out it's the relay that controls the zone valve. Problem is all supply houses are closed. I might have to wait until Monday. I can deal without the heat as I have a fireplace and a few space heaters but I'll have to resort to heating pots of water in order to take a bath.
House was 60Âş and It's up to 65Âş with the fireplace on.

Theres actually 2 relays. 1 for heat & for hot water. My boiler is a combo unit - very compact for small areas. There are so many wires going to these I would not know where to begin.

bugeye, i tried jumping around the relay myself once, i could only take about 15 minutes of that, but it did get me to warm up a bit though! he can allways go out start up his m.g and turn the heater on.

Bummer! But, its 68 here today...worked in GarageMahal all day in tee shirt with all the doors open!

I think it was over 70 here... I worked up a good sweat putting my new grille together. I feel for ya though. We were out of power here for 4 days last february when it was durned cold. I even scouted around the first night for a nice propane heater we could warm the living room with. Nothing. I found one the next day. That was a cold night.

tony and kenny, with the current situation of global warming by april you guys will have evaporated, however if you had a healey one could just start it up get inside and roast large chickens slid over the stick shift lever while sitting on the surface of mars, hay if he wants to jump around that relay well thats his problem.

68Âş & 70Âş har dee har. Temp is dropping and should hit the 30's soon but not to fear.

12 hours later & I have heat. I wound up swapping the relays and rewiring a bunch of stuff but it works now but I don't have hot water. No problem, I just swap out a wire and I change it from heating to hot water. I can handle doing this until I can either get a replacement or design a new relay board so I can swap these out easier if'n they ever crap out again.
