Long event announcement that showed up in one of my mail groups, if you follow it all the way down it begins to makes sense, maybe... If you live in the Los Angeles area (I think that's where the Rose Bowl is) it sounds like a fun touring event, before you read this one keep in mind that only pre-1976 cars are allowed but it will be an all-makes driving tour.
Here goes...
SIXTH ANNUAL NO FRILLS IRON BOTTOM MOTORING TOUR:
SIXTY DAY NOTICE
Some last minute information:
The only way we have to communicate with
participants is via e-mail (epas356@aol.com). If you know anyone who should be on our contact list ask them to send an e-mail and put NFIBMT on the subject line.
With the publicity we got in the January 2004 issue of “Automobile” we expect a record turn out. Plan to arrive early 7:00AM. Get signed in,
get your tour book, and be ready to go. We will leave at 7:30 A.M. Thursday April 8, 2004.
Remember this event is free so the “disorganizers” have no incentive to wait for you if you are late. If you miss the start we will be having lunch at the In N Out Burger in Atascadero.
Be ready to make your reservation for our NEW EVENT, the all hands dinner in Paso Robles, on Friday night. The price is $23 per person, this includes tax tip and non alcoholic drinks. Bring cash and bring exact change. Your disorganizers have not figured out how to squeeze a cash register into a two passenger car, on top of that we are numerically challenged. Capacity of the dining room is eighty. So only the first eighty
people who pay will be admitted.
See you at the Rose Bowl early on April 8th.
