No day for a drive...

Well, the Atlanta area is getting dusted with our every other year snow...1-3 inches...which, in these parts, qualifies as a "blizzard" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Definitely not a day for a drive...though, with snow and ice, traffic on the Atlanta Interstates actually dips below 75 MPH.

Too cold and damp to even work in the garage.

Thank goodness for Barrett Jackson.

Ray, Come on you're a wimp. I was out in the garage this morning with little electric space heater going working on fitting my Bugeye bonnet. Temps at 10 degrees this AM. just need an extra layer of clothing. After a while you get numb and realize that you've got this block of time to work and you just have to do it.

Sounds like a fun opportunity to practice a little car control and at 34 degrees, well, sounds balmy to me what with a -6 wind chill up here... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

You retired guys are killin me!

The Spridget gathering at the Lake is this June and it is going to be very close if my car is done on time.

Unfortunately I have to WORK 50+ friggin hours a week.

LOL

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif I think the show is pushing many of us to get projects finished faster! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Hope I can get mine doen in time!

Ray, we worked on the Lecarrera Panam MGB GT rally car all day, got alot done, the gas heaters in the shop almost had us sweating, occasionally we'd take a peak outside, snowed all day, but it didn't stick, and that's the kind of snow I like /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Ray,

We're all jealous of you being retired and able to do this on your own pace. Some of us need to fit in the fun time around work. Stay warm, heater has been on in garage for the past housrs or so. About to go out and brave the chill.

Hap, I'm anxious to see the progress on the rally BGT...I have the new cell for my Spridget and want to look at how you mounted yours. Should be able to run up for a day in the next week or two.

I plan to pick up a gas heater at the end of the season (when they mark them down) for my new shop...something big enough that I can walk out there and fire it up, come back in for a second cup of coffee, and when don go out to a toasty shop.

Going the afternoon to look at air conditioners...which should mean a shop that is comfortable year 'round.

Ray
