:sorrow:The wife told me that building this car has put me 10 years ahead on Christmas! At this rate I get no presents until 2025! Now that's a chilling thought! Wonder if I grovel a bit she might give in? :winner1: Guess who!

I'd imagine she's being generous!

Yeah, last year she got me the Super 7.

I figure I'm getting socks for the next ten years (at least!). :playful:

G'luck, Paul!

I am, but I also know where my bread's buttered...

Well Nial, you have something to look forward to, Warm feet while in the 7! :jester:

One thing that always amazed me is, with all their leverage, why women don't rule the world? Hmmm, thinking about it, that was a dumb statement! They do! :rolleyes2:

In a Seven there's no lack of heat for the footwell! He could drive barefoot in th' winter and still have plenty of heat comin' off that exhaust!

Mine actually has no heater (it had a big, ugly Sierra unit that I tossed.....I'm planning on fitting a Sprite heater).

But yeah, your toes are warm.
But in current weather, anything above your ankles are pretty cold. I've never driven this thing with the top up (or side curtains on). Don't plan to.

I'd guess a TF would have similar "creature comforts". :friendly_wink:

One of these days I may look into a Super 7 less engine and trans.....if my flathead Ford and 4-speed will fit.

Would not work with my Robin Hood 7 (or a real 7)......both too skinny.

But you can fit V8s in the Brunton Stalker no problem. :friendly_wink:

I don't know...because I don't know the spacing on the frame...but a flathead, with cylinder heads...oh, and inch and a half thick, are narrower than an OHV unit. Might be fun....ported and relieved, Isky cam, Offy head, 4bbl, Mallory......the big issue would be the five-row core to keep it cool.
No longer than most four bangers.
Might have to go EFI to get the overall height down.

No, not EFI. If you are going the flathead route you need three strombergs with a hole cut in the hood for their velocity stacks.

My old 60 has Offiy heads and twin 97s. Well it had twin 97s! The intake is still on it but I sold the 97s a few years ago and regretted it ever since. PJ
