well, I'm dismantling an A-arm off an early (slat grille) midget - It's in very good shape but I have a question.
The four bolts that holds the spring base in - they seem to have some kind of split ring or something on top of the nut. It seems to be locking the nuts on. I've never seen this before - in ideas? I might be able to get pics but I'm not sure my camera is god enough. Basically, it is a circular ring - thicker than a washer, about the same diameter as the nut with what appears to be a grove bisecting it on either side of the bolt
