I'm interested, so I e-mailed to inquire about price and availability. The asking price is $16K. Seem in line for the car or is it high for the current market?

Key term is "asking price" - his. From the description and pictures, $16K doesn't seem too far off.

Bidding ended a little over $11K. Offer him whatever your comfortable with north of that...

I talked to Woody about the car today. His comment was "It's the nicest TR8 I have ever seen. There is not one item on the car that makes you say Why didn't he attend to that." He saw it at Roadster a couple of years ago. Sounds like an absolutely flawless example of a pampered wedge.
