Looking at the Triumphs on ebay and saw this one. A very nice looking TR3A project that looks to be very close to done for sale on ebay, for any one in the Providence, RI area that's looking for one. He's selling without reserve. If I only had the money.

I have no connection whatsoever with the seller, just thought I'd give anyone that would like a TR3 a heads up.

Prov. TR3A

I like red, but that is just too much. I'm afraid that will turn off a lot of buyers.

"Top needs to be attached to the frame" --- yeah, that's a problem with all the TR3's.

I agree, probably the biggest drawback is that bright red interior. It's so bright, need sunglasses to look at it.

Does that drivers side door mis alignment concern anyone?

I can not and will not do body work (magical stuff). That door worries me as well as the black spare tire compartment.

A nice set of black seat covers & some exterior engine work and who knows.....

BTW I see it has the anti-gravity kit

The upside-down photos?

Well, if you live up north, black would probably be okay; but here in Kansas thats a butt burner. That red interior would be cooler and you would wear sunglasses anyway.

Hi Randy,

Are you talking about the gap at the top front of the drivers door and bulkhead? It is a little excessive and I think that it is accentuated somewhat by the fact that he doesn't have the capping on the doors yet.

It would be hard to fix and most likely occured if/when they changed the inner sills out . Probably didn't get the A post quite pulled down enough when they welded it to the outside of the inner sill.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

actually after looking at this again....does the top of the door go skinny to accept the capping? Perhaps what I am looking at here is normal:

If I didn't have a TR8, that would be sitting in my driveway by the weekend.

Also, keep in mind, it's an incomplete project. He may have just quickly slapped the doors on for the pictures. The weather stripping and adjustments probably still need to be done. When I was working on my Jag I had the doors, bonnet and trunk lid on and off more times than I can remember. All of the gaps and final adjustments are all something that takes a long time to get right.

Randy, I could easily do that if someone wanted me to. After golf tomorrow, that is....

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the entire underside still seems to be in red oxide primer as opposed to any colorcoat? Not good, IMO! Otherwise, it all looks (now that the new home computer is up and running and I can see all the pictures!) pretty decent, save for the amber turn signal repeater (should be green on this late a 3A, probably built in April 1960 by that commission number) and what looks to me to be a fairly mediocre carpet kit.

I like the red-on-red; it reminds me of that old photo (couldn't find it on the 'net) of the Rochester NY Fire Chief's car!

There are also a few other things that I spotted, but I don't want to go negative or be overly picky until I see it up close and personal. Cameras can make cars look better than they really are as well as make them look worse.
