Nice Nasty

Wow, pretty amazing build. Rick, I wonder how he reinforced the main frame rails to make up for the loss of the triangulated pedal box assemblies?

I knew the owner. He worked at Ford as an engineer and had full access to all the performance products before they were put into production. He used these products on his car. He did this at his home not at Ford. He was a personal friend of Henry Ford. He regretted selling this car and commissioned us to build his second. He told me that he had raced a GT40 after its completion and the Healey smoked it. The history reported is accurate. He has passed away.

This one showed up at our local Britfest last weekend. He left it with drum brakes because he liked the look better. Tri-power intake. Probably not my thing, but it is very striking.

The guy also has an MGA with a Jag V-12 (he brought it last year). He also claims to own the 4th MG-TD ever built (it's in pieces and he wants to sell it).

Ok, I admit this is my favorite Nasty Boy. I missed on the auction when it went up...

Hey Nial,

In the small LBC world, I happened to meet the owner of that red Nasty Boy from Britfest that you pictured above at a Healey event we had up in Massachusetts yesterday. And yes, those are real Borranis. I'm sending him a link to this thread, perhaps he'll chime in. A really nice guy with some great Healey stories.
