Kinda weird weather we're having this morning, but certainly not complaining. A crispness to the air like Fall. I had a nice ride in Midgie to the barber and back. Quite pleasant.

I agree! Nice fall like weather here in the south. Tomorrow looks like a repeat but a little cooler.
It's going to be the 70s around here for highs. 50s tonight.
I love it!
Tomorrow we're taking a cruise into the higher elevations.
I may need long sleeves.
Nothing beats a roadster on days like these, eh?

Up at 6.45 Sunday morning with daughter in the car, I met 2 buddies at the usual garage and filled up. With the MGB leading, the MGA second and me in the rear, temperature at 4 deg C off we went for a round 100 mile breakfast run. Bombing along at 60mph with not a cloud in the sky, we arrived at Magaliesburg hotel for the best breakfast in the world at $9 eat as much as you like. Back home by 11 what a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

I'm envious - sounds great!

BTW, was watching TopGear last week and they said South Africa has the highest rate of carjacking in the world. My SA friends say the same - has this been a problem?

Thinking,,,,guess it would depend what parts I needed.

If you were going to car jack a car, would you car jack a midget?

yeah, I thought it, just didn't want to say it

BTW was in Prince Edward Island a few years ago and read a report of a stolen tractor chase. The article said speeds in the chase reached 40 km (20 MPH) - really

Today was a spectacular day for a LBC drive. We went
up #276 to Brevard then to Hendersonville via #64 and
down #25 to River Falls Road and took the shortcut
at Devil's Fork back to River falls road then # 11
to #8 back to Pumpkintown. Wonderful curvy roads. :driving:
Very light traffic the whole time. Even #64 was pleasant.
Wife bought a new hat in Hendersonville and I added
found a Navajo dance rattle made from buffalo hide
and a nice arrow with buffalo bone point.
Lunch at Haus Heidelberg was fantastic. I love those German beers. :thirsty:
It was chilly to start but became delightfully warm after
lunch on the way home. 90 miles or so total.

Just got back from a run in the '79 B...77-degrees here this afternoon - great top down day...almost hated to put her under the car cover afterwards!

Unfortunately didn't get to repeat yesterday morning. Spent the day doing yard work so the neighbors can enjoy it while I'm at work. Plan on driving Midgie to work tomorrow, weather permitting. Should be nice.

Howdy Folks,

We`ve had the same weather pattern here in NE PA. Mid to Upper 70s since Fri.

Fri took the Bugeye to play some Golf (Lousy Game but a Great Ride):

Sat. went to help my friend put in a Hd. Gasket on his `69 Alfa-Romeo Duetto. Again a Super nice Ride:

Today, A "Vette" Car Show (Lots of Them) & Hot Rods. "3" LBCs to include mine. Just a lay-back day enjoying chit-chat & cars:

Next several days = ?????????????????????????

Hey Gundy, 10 more days till "Take-Off"! We`ll be leaving on the 29th (One or Two day drive is still in question). Keep the "Bruskies" cool.

See Y`All Soon,

Regards, Russ

Re car jacking. I would imagine we must be world leaders in that. Merc, BMW Toyota and VW all very popular for car jacking. I have only heard of 1 MG being stolen, a pristine B from our chairman who was well known for having several MGs in perfect condition. We all think it was an 'order'. The good thing about MGs is everyone thinks they are expensive to maintain. I had a service done last week - $100. This is in prep for a 40th anniversary tour of the north and eastern parts of South Africa, 8 days and 1500 miles.
