Nice Fiesta on eBay

I actually owned one of these new in 1978. Mine was orange. It was a good solid car. If I remember right, it was a tad expensive for it's day at about $4,000 dollars compared to a Pinto that was still a tad under $3,000.

Geez Roofy , thought they were all orange.

The Fiesta was twice the car a Pinto was.
I bought a Fiesta new,in 1979 for $5300.It was
a great car.

Very peppy cars in the USA. I really liked them. Then my brother in law got one here in DK, and it turns out that they only came with the 1100 engine here. And they were DOG slow. Then they rusted like a Fiat.

Mine was a 1878 silver S version. It would not run in cold wet weather. Looking back I think it suffered from carb icing, like they worry about in an airplane.
It fit like it was about 1/2 size too small, but was fun to drive

Good gravy, I haven't seen one of those since the early 90's. It was being run during the lunchtime parade laps at one of the first races at Road America I ever attended. heck, maybe the first! If I remember correctly, the owner/driver was called "Sparky Burnzupski", as he'd managed to set several cars on fire. Or something.
