Last year an old fraternity brother called me and wanted me to buy his fathers 76 MGB. I knew the car, worked on it a couple of times for him. I didn't want the car but bought it anyway. I parked it in the barn. Deceided last week I needed to clear up some space so I listed the MG on Craigslist.
Next day I get a call, the guy says that looks like my wifes car. She bought one just like it new in76.. They sold it to a friend in 82. I asked the guy if he remembered who it was. He gave me a name and I said it sounded familar. I asked him to hold the phone for a minute. I got out all the old paperwork, sure enough, same name. Then found title transfer with his wifes name on it. His wife got on the phone with me and very excitedly said SOLD. They picked it up next day, the wife had a big smile on her face as she drove it away. It was nice to see the car go back to original owner.
