Yep!!! :yesnod: Try bulding one to that level for that price.---Keoke

Seems too cheap, but looks good from the top. Wonder what the paint "ISSUES" are. Bad locale for a l,b.c. rust wise. Factoring in the motor, interior, newish paint, tops, etc, it appears WELL within range. Be a good idea to pay our EX-wrench in the area to take a look first. It helps to be a hep cat with a good back to drive one of these any distance in comfort. The color is rather blase' for my taste. But not to worry, sounds like you'd be painting it soon anyhow! --elrey

NAA!! You mustah been readin "Road en Track"----Keoke--

Driving Tip. If six feet or taller; when driving one of these cars be sure to wear a hat. That way you look like a trained bear in a hat rather than just any ordinary trained bear.

Yeah, I know. [grovel] But in the interest of humor, a little prevarication be permited. :thirsty: --elrey And you gotta admit driving that baby all the way to Taos might get a wee confining for six foot plus.

It all depends on the paint issues and what the underside of the car looks like. Very nice examples are going in the low to mid teens at auction. Keep in mind, this car is modified from original, so regardless of what it costs to duplicate, it is not an original car. Not to say I am against modifying Bugeyes. I have owned five of them and modified every one. I sold my last Bugeye for $7,000 in 2002.

I've never really scrutinized this car when I've seen it, so I'm not sure what the paint issues are. I do know it's a pretty clean car, and the pictures don't do justice to the color. In the pictures it looks blah, and flat. in person is is a very elegant looking car. I'm not a big fan of tan or gray, but if I bought this car, I'd leave it the color it is. It looks very nice, especially with the whitewalls.
I'd bet, as a driver, the paint issues would not be anything to worry about. These folks always have a project or two going at their house. this is the only British one I've seen, but he's done some other cars that looked great.

:iagree:

It looked very clean to me.--Keo :yesnod:ke

Not to stir the pot, but it is nice to see you big boy Healey guys say nice things about us little folks!
