Next BCF Rally - DIscuss here!

Could it be something in the Forum software upgrade? Isn't this the first rally since going to 7.4.1? Or 7.4 for that matter, I can't remember when that happened.

I suppose it could be, but I doubt it. I played all 14 legs before going public with the game and had no problems. There are only a couple of people who seem to be having an issue, and if it was a forum software problem I would expect everyone to be having the same problem. I am thinking it may be more of an issue with something the player is doing or some browser issue.

What's kind of score usually wins? Is it ok to ask a question about bribes?
Does anyone feel lucky so far? unlucky?
Is there a 20% chance that a cop will get you no matter what road your on?
I was feeling real good, now I'm a bit deflated!

Usually the highest score  (it depends on the number of routes)

Sure, ask away

I feel very lucky - I'm not playing!

Only if you're speeding, then yes, there is a 20% chance of getting a ticket. (On at least one leg you will have to speed to score a perfect time).

We'll have to change that someday. Give someone a tutorial on how it's set up and they can do the legwork. You just have to promise not to peek.

What happens when you choose to bribe officials? Does the next screen just say it was accepted or not?
What situations would you risk a bribe unless it was on the last stage or two and a win depended on it?
"You'll have to speed on at least one leg" One leg? haha! I can't run the risk of a ticket. I'm already handicapped enough with bad fuel pumps almost every stage.
If you have a multiple choice test, each question has 5 choices and only one choice is wrong. You can still score a ZERO.

If you bribe the officials, the next screen will tell you if your bribe was accepted. If it was, then your score is set to 10 points for the leg, but if it isn't, then you loose 15 points. Whether you risk a bribe depends on you, but generally I'd only risk a bribe if you don't think you could win without it.

I played yesterday and got a score of -15 ( I made a bad choice AND was denied a bribe) but I never appeared in the standings.
Today it was the same leg...I made a better choice and got a score of 9. Now I appear in the standings and my score is -6. I show 1 leg complete but I played the same leg twice. I'm curious about what will happen tomorrow....

The first time you played leg 1, you got a score of -5 (at least that's what is in the details table of the game database), but you lost a bribe which reduces you score by another 15, so your net score should have been -20. You should not have been allowed to play the same leg a second time. So, I have adjusted your score to reflect the first time you played. When you played the first time, where you presented with an opportunity to bribe and if so, did you try the bribe and loose? If so I have a bug in the game because it indicated you lost 1 bribe in one database table, but not another where it should have. This has happened to a few people here so I must have a bug, but I'll be darned if I can duplicate the problem when I try playing leg 1.

Let me know if you have any other issues with any other legs.

We hit the 100 mark for people racing! That's got to be a record. Cool.

I'd say you're right. I know we have had in the 90's but I don't think we've ever hit triple digits before.

I gotta pretty good laugh on leg 9. I guess the folks round those parts love the Hulk. Since Bill Bixby played David Banner in the series.
