Newcomer in North Carolina with Radio Question

Greetings Forum veterans!

I'm going on my third year in North Carolina after living in southwest Ohio for 38 years and then retiring from the Air Force civil service.

Way back in 1975 I bought a one-owner 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII BJ8. I drove it for about three years and then garaged it in order to do "a little work" on it. The only miles on it since then were in the moving van that brought our belongings to North Carolina.

But retirement means free time and restoration is imminent. It's going to go from Colorado Red to Old English White/Ivory, but it will keep it's black interior and top.

It is still a positive ground car. Anyone know if positive ground, original looking, but updated radios that fit the BJ8 console are available anywhere?

Or should I convert to negative ground? If so, what are the arguments that support that approach?

Thanks for your advice.

Kaybee
