I come from a family of car enthusiasts so it's just in my blood. My mother owned the same MK6 Jag for over 25 years in the late 60's to the early 90's. I do remember her being close friends with her wrench. I went in the Navy in 74, bought a Norton Commando then also a Nash Metro. They both made a wrench out of me.......Early 80's I bought a 65 TR4, then later a 58 TR3. Liked the 3 much better and sold the 4. It was a nice reliable driver for some 10 years. Had to sell it to help my son in college, but kept all the spares and manuals thinking about a replacement later. In the late 90's I bought a 64 Series IIA 109" Land Rover. Still have it today. It's a very nice daily driver. Around 2005, I bought a clean 59 TR3 which I still own. It's a nice rust free original driver. I still do all my own work on everything I own which includes another 5 classic cars and 8 motorcycles including a 56 T-120 Triumph. Something old is driven every day by both myself and my wife. It's a way of life for us as we live and breath the old car hobby.
