I've been into British cars since was around 18 back in The Kingdom of Yorkshire in the UK. I've owned an MGB and an MGB-GT, I bought the MGB-GT out to Australia over 30 years ago, however sadly I had to sell it due to being given a company car and I had no where to the MG safely & out of the weather. Years later a sad looking 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500 came my way thanks to a relative moving back to the UK. I had it restored in Melbourne and moved up to Sydney with my job and bought it up here where I still live. It's a much loved and admired car, there aren't many Spitfires of this type seen around in Sydney, however any halt at traffic lights etc always triggers interesting conversations with other motorists and pedestrians alike. I look around at all the new electric car brands around the city and wonder if they'll still be around in 50 years like the Triumph marque. I'm grateful to suppliers like Rimmers in the UK for their ongoing support in regards to spare parts.
