Hi all,
What a great forum!! After two days of trying to get on (that dang BETA) and some great help from Basil, here I am!! I'm an old Brit-o-file from way back, to many cars to count and two ex-wives to show for it...ain't life grand.

I've got a 64 RHD MGB almost fully restored and trying to make it to our revived, local, All British Car day in Woodley Park on April 6th...wish me luck. Also various Midgets, Minors, Fords and Jags. And tons of parts.

I just launched a new website idea for buying and selling car parts, I have a complete Morris Minor catalog, some SU catalogs and working on the Spridget catalog as we speak...MGB is next! Looking for sellers!! And the great thing is, it's FREE!!!

Well that's all for now, I hope to enjoy this venue and help out as best I can...I have way to much knowledge to waste sitting in my room all alone.....Cheers!

Bob - welcome...how 'bout jumping over to the MG Forum & show us photos of that RHJD setup

Welcome, neighbor! I'll see you at Woodley Park. By the way, I also have a RHD MGB, although it's a '67 BGT. I've driven it around Agua Dulce many times.

I will try and do that.

I've been building it mostly out of existing inventory I have and from a stripped bodyshell to almost on the road I think I've only spent around $300 for the resto. I've tried to make it as original/stock as I can, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I guess.

If I can get my digital camera to work long enough I will post some pics....

And Steve_S, I hope to see you out there at Woodley, keep an eye out for the White RHD beastie and come say Hi. (I've always wanted to start a RHD club.....) And if you ever find your way up to AD again, let me know, I'll buy you a beer or something!

Hi Bob,

I was just driving thru :driving: and wanted to wish you a warm "Welcome" from the Pocono Mtns of PA.

What sort of "Jags" do you have?

Regards, Russ

I guess I just answer here? You don't get an email that someone has added to the post?? It seems you just keep checking back or is there something I may have missed that will make my life oh, so much easier?

Hi Russ,
As for the types of Jags, I have a '69 XKE 2+2 and a '75 XJ-6. Both in need....And my family is originally from PA, they moved out west to Iowa around 1850 though!

Hi Bob,
There are a few steps needed to get an email notification, and some people have had trouble even though they did all the right things. If you’re game, here’s how.

1) At the top of the thread, there is a dropdown menu called “Topic Options”. Select “Add Topic to your Watched Topics”

2) Above the “Topic Options”, you’ll see the “My Stuff” menu. Choose “Watch Lists” Then “Watched Topics” from that menu.

3) Click “Edit Watched Topics” on the right side. Here you can choose to be notified or not on each topic you’re watching. Click the “Update Watched Topics” button when you’re done.

4) Almost done. Click “My Stuff” once more and go into “My Preferences”. Towards the bottom you’ll see “By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?” Choose yes, then hit “Submit” at the bottom.

Once you’ve set it up, it’s not that difficult to add additional topics.

P.S. Generally speaking, you would reply here in these threads. Unless you want to send someone a private message or email. When asking car related questions though, it’s usually better to cast a wide net.
