Thought I'd stir things up today. :cooler:

I'm off to NZ tomorrow morning, going to have another summer.

I will spare a thought for all of you in the North Lands. As I lounge about on the beach etc.,

Not sure if I'll have time to be on here,so I'll take the opportunity to wish all of you the Joys of the Season, and all the best in 2009.

Stuart.

So, are you going there to buy some tools? Have fun!

My dream is to one day make it down to N.Z. I`v even contemplated going there with intentions of maybe staying for good.
One can dream can`t he?

I can't - either you or the moderator of the Tools Forum can.

I've had a similar dream, Kerry. I've even got some distant family down there -- part of my grandfather's family went there when they left England in the early 1900s.

I've been there a couple of times. Nice people, and a beautiful country. Not easy to immigrate there. A friend of mine has, but then again he married a local.

As for neat places, I have a special place in my heart for Perth Australia. A lot dryer.

North or South island?

You know that there are a lot of transplanted Scots in New Zealand. A lot of them took up sheepherding..

You know why New Zealand shephers wear kilts, don't you?

Sheep can hear the sound of a zipper a mile away....

North Island,Ron. Though I may pop over to the South Island and visit the "MacKenzie country."
I'm a transplanted Scot myself,Louisiana is my second transplant.

Stuart.

Stuart, bring a mini back with you,

Well the national austin healey rally will be held in perth over easter, so if you've fallen over the edge (apologies to the flat earth society) you might be able to include in your itinerary while your in the upside portion of the world

On a similar note - Did you know that Kiwis (= New Zelanders) recently discovered two new uses for sheep?

Wool and mutton.

Have fun!
