Why, oh why, is there no Healey Club for the New York Metropolitan area? I know there are a few of us here who have Healeys. Has it ever been tried? Hey Joeq, how about you? You up for it?

Scott

i think it's a great idea - especially with nice weather (hopefully!) around the corner.

Motorhead, tell me more about the L.I Chapter. Joe, you don't mind coming out to the country, do you? As for the other Brit cars, you mean those little 4 cylinder things?

We should have our Healey on the road again this summer, and love to motor to the isle of long........ and to upstate our state ... cornecticut!

Scott,
Can't say much. I've only been to one meeting.
I've only had my car for about a year and a half. I bought it, drove it for a couple of months and then tore it apart. But I do know that they do runs and tech sessions...I'm hoping there will be some kind of track time somewhere.
I should have my motor back soon and I hope to be more active.

Do you actually have that jewel in the Big City?

well, for the winter, i'm storing it up at my mechanics in connecticut - but otherwise, yeah. i was able to cut a decent deal (at least by nyc standards!) with my garage so that i have a space on their main floor that i drive into, park and take the key. (there's no way i'd let them jockey it all around - especially with the modifications that i've made!).

it's great fun getting up early on a sunday and tooling around the west village and turning heads!

I freakin' love that!
Years ago I had a '68 MGB GT that I would drive in (to the city) and it was a blast.
The sound of the Healey's exhaust off the buildings must be worth the price of admission.
I hope you've done the drive out from the city on RT25A...cut down to the Hamptons...ahhh...

Well boys, there may not be a lot of us but it looks like we need to make something happen here. I want to find out more about that sports and touring club, but we definitely need to help Joe get some fresh country air into those dual carbs. If you like the sound of one Healey exhaust, wait till we put them all together.
