Hello All,

Thx to Hap W. I will be putting 15x6 Black Classic VTO on my Jasmine 250
I think this will really finish the roadster.

Now for some rubber so I thought I would que the BCF for suggestions.

Probably just me, but as good as they might be, I don't like reading Japanese names on British sports car tires.
Wherever they may be made nowadays, Dunlop still reads nicely.
 
Still haven't gotten over that Pearl Harbor thing Ken?
 
How are you planning on using the car Tony?

(ps - a lot of the Japanese brands are actually made in Korea and China)

I used to put Dunlop SP4 (175/70R13) tires on my GT6+ back in the mid-1970s. They were made in Japan. Lasted very nicely, despite my attempts to manually "shave" down the tread in numerous autocrosses, etc.! In fact, they're still holding up that GT6+ in the barn....
 
Not sure what size will work for you, but the Vredestein Sprints are great tires. Check 'em out.
 
Your choices may be guided by the size you seek but I have been favorably impressed with the Bridgestone Potenzas I have on my wider rims.
 
I like the look of a wide tyre, just think it makes any vehicle look well planted
 
Will a 215 fit in the well ?
 
my TR6 is currently using stock 15" steel wheels with 215/65R15 tires. This is at stock ride height

When it goes back together I'm using a set of 15" KN Minator wheels with Dunlop SP Sport A2 P185/65R15 tires. The ride height will also be lowered 1"
 
Ken, I think he's more concerned with "snufage" under the wheel wells
 
I checking out this thread as well, Tony just bought the wheels from me, and we like feedback, and believe it or not Barry saves most threads made here about Triumph wheel fitment issues. One of the things you have mentioned here in the past was the TR6 had a more liberal wheel openings than the TR4/250, so the TR6 get away with larger diameter/width tires, and thats what I think Tony is trying to seek, how big is big enough to scrub or become a problem on a TR4/250.

FWIW, another topic, we have guy in our car club with a TR6, he has 16" Panasports on on it, but then he runs a extrememly low profile tire, there is so much real estate above the tire and wheel it looks absolutely terrible, and there's no way to ever lower the car enough to take care of it, plain and simple the guy bought way too low a profile of tire for that car, and it makes for a terrible look, so researching overall diameter is important for the right look.

I use the mintylamb site alot for reseaching overall tire diameters.
