Got flashed a couple of times so I chucked out my auto darkening HF helmet and bought a 3M Speedglass from Cyberweld. Absolutely love it, much better optics very clear and reliable. But it ought to be at almost four times the price.
Starting to a little better in that department. Now that I am about a quarter deaf, I use hearing protection more often. I found some safety glasses the other day with 1.75 bifocal, perfect as I use readers for fine work or reading.
Don't know about the auto darkening helmets, but a prescription back glass is available for the old style ones. I would imagine you could get them for the auto darkening ones now since their so popular and have pretty much taken over the industry. PJ
