If you intend to install an electric fuel pump, I strongly recommend you install it as close to the fuel tank(supply) as possible. Electric pumps are a lot more effective as a propulsion(pusher) rather than suction(puller).
Facet makes the little square one for aircraft with pressure under 2 psi, web shop you should be able to find it for under 30, mount it on rubber pedestals to quiet the noise(making sure that you supply a ground wire around the mount from the body of the pump to the chassis).

webercarbs.com suggests using the Carter 4070, which is high volume, low pressure. Apparently, mounting low & near the tank is suggested. I can't give my two cents, as I'm still running the mechanical stock pump and a pressure regulator (1500 & DGV also).
