Hello all! I'm new to the site and thought I would say hello. I've been looking for a forum site for british sports car for some time and I'm glad I found this one. It sounds everyone on here knows their cars very well and I hope to know more of this kind of stuff from this site. I have a Triumph Spitfire that has been a work in progress for the past two years and I hope to get her back on the road this year

Hi Nikolaus (or is it Conrad?), Welcome to the Asylum!

Lots of Triumph nuts here (as well as other varieties), and we love pictures.

Welcome to our little corner of the world. Nice to have you here.

Hi Nick -- welcome, and good for you for bringing another TR back to life. You're at the right forum for advice and help in restoring and maintaining your Spit. Corning is my home town. I now live about 10 miles NE of Watkins Glen.

"New user" -- I think that 'user' is another word for an addict. That pretty much describes us and our TR habit.

Welcome.

Welcome! You have found the right place. I think my TR3 project probably would have taken twice as long and, certainly, caused me twice the aggravation -- were it not for the help and excellent advice found here.

Hey; the concept sketches by Micolatii are cool.

Welcome Nick,

Well.... not everyone here knows their cars very well... and I am speaking of myself. Without the expert advice of others on this forum, as a new owner of a TR3, I would be absolutely lost. But, thanks to the helpful and knowlegeable people on this forum, I am learning. There are experts in this crowd... and there are people like me who are learning.

Welcome to this forum, it is indeed the best of the genre. And, the people are the best, too.

Welcome Nick!
You will need to stop by the shop, Esprit Performance, out by the Airport. We bumped into each other a while ago.

TR3driver- the asylum haha Glad I found people as nuts as I am =]

Minesweeper- TR you mean Triumph Roadster? My car is a Spitfire =]

Geo Hahn- Yes I meant to type addict,

Moseso- Exactly why I joined, I have never seen a site like this before

TexasKnucklehead- It's been a while since I updated the cardomain site. I have a
full album on facebook but I didn't think too many people would have one. I may need to invest in a Picasa Web Album. Hmm...

LexTR3- My Spit has been mine since I was 15. I say that but my father bought the car for my Mother when I was just a month old. So we've had it for 20 years =] and still everyday I am finding out new information I never knew.

Dale- Agreed. I have a Subaru and joined a Subaru forum but they wern't as friendly as everyone on here.

booley- Thank you! =]

KSIS- Long time no talk! I get my car back this spring so I'll have to stop by sometime!

Welcome, Conrad! "TR" can stand for Triumph in general. Some of us call TR owners "rumphies" as well...
but that's mostly from us MG enthusiasts, tho. :jester:

Stick around! This place is a really pro-active forum. Answers in minutes, not days.

You've only got 300 post, Still a newby. You'll see. :jester:
