New Triumph owner in Texas

Hello, everybody. I am a retired Aviation Mechanic living in the Texas panhandle. I have been trying for years to find a Spitfire and I finally bought one. I will be leaving in a couple of days to drive a 2000 mile round trip to pick it up. I will trailer it home, then do a thorough inspection and fluid change, before I begin enjoying the ride. The car is a 1980 Spitfire with 65,00 miles on it, hardtop and conv top, in excellent shape. This is My first Triumph car, although I do own a 1971 Triumph 650 Tiger. I am sure I will be picking Your brains as I get acquainted with My new ,old Spitfire.

Thanks, Jeremy! I have already learned a lot, here, in just a few hours. Hopefully, some of My Triumph motorcycle experience will translate well here! I am already familiar with Lucas!
