I recently read in Motorcyclist that there is a charging problem with the newest Bonney: seems if the battery voltage drops below 12.6 (!!!!!) volts the computer will not let the ignition fire. Triumph is aware of this, but suggests that it is a dealer set-up problem. The battery must be allowed to sit for 1 hour after adding the initial load of acid and them must be put on a charger for another hour. The idle must then be set to over 1000 rpm and even then it will run down if you drive in stop and go traffic for too long.
 
Wonder if that's something with the new fuel-injected models. Mine is a carb bike, and never had any charging/starting problems.
 
Sounds like a Triumph to me.

Some Ghosts of Lucas just cant be exorcised.
