Morning everyone;
I am in Victoria BC Canada and I hope to hear that I will have a 72 TR6 in my garage this coming week. It will need some heavy work though as it has already failed road worthy test due to a rotted frame so I will have a project on my hands. I am looking forward to it though as I was looking for a project.
I am a huge long time fan of the British autos and first fell in love with an MGA in the late 70's at the tender age of 16 so many years ago... I didn't have the $2200 available to me when I went to see it and he would not take the $1600 I did have. It was also a project so I seem to be drawn to work......
If I get the car this week, I will post pics once I have it or I will continue to haunt the pages and read up on projects and ways to improve these old classics. I am looking at the reinforcement locations typical in the TR6 as I suspect I will either be rebuilding this one once the body is off or I will be looking for either a new frame or build a custom frame.
Cheers and looking forward to participating in the forums.
